Serialization of wheelset bearings for DB
In cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, HFG launches the serialization of wheelset bearings. For this, HFG marks the components with DB´s worldwide unique GS1 asset numbers (GIAI) within the reconditioning process. Hereby, the safety relevant bearings can be individually tracked and traced at any time. In addition , individual supply chain and operating data can be gathered and saved throughout the whole life cycle- an important step towards a higher transparency and operational safety.
